The GRE General Test is designed to assess your readiness for the rigors of graduate study. It measures your verbal reasoning, quantitative reasoning, critical thinking, and analytical writing skills. These are skills that are essential for success in graduate school, regardless of your field of study.

The GRE General Test is a computer-based test that is delivered at testing centers around the world. The test is about 3 hours and 45 minutes long, and it includes three sections:

• Verbal Reasoning: This section measures your ability to analyze text, understand multiple meanings of words, and reason from incomplete data.
• Quantitative Reasoning: This section measures your ability to solve problems using math concepts. You will not need a calculator for this section.
• Analytical Writing: This section measures your ability to analyze a complex issue and write a persuasive essay.
